addedValue Timed Tasks in addedValuesDocs.A Timed Task is a process that runs at some time in the future and optionally at set periods afterwards. A Timed Task will always operate on some well defined part of your web site, the messages, the member records, its gems or its external shortcuts. When run, the timed task first evaluates a query to decide which elements of the chosen context to operate on. You write the query and decide the time of operation and the period between repetitions; your system administator determines what range of actions are available to you. The actions installed on this server can be inspected here When you define a Timed Task you make an association - name of query, name of action to take, next time to run and repeat frequency. Once defined, you must then enable the Timed task from this page before it will be run. After that you may disable and enable the timed task at will. Actions are one of a set of alternatives installed by your server administrator; if none are installed, you may not use this feature.
