NewsToStories

The NewsToStories import extension allows news site to be converted into a non news sites, with addedValues storage to contain the news text and other builtins news attributes. For most purposes, this is a superior method of creating a website where some stories have text snippets that are posted to the home page as news items.

How the news builtin variables are copied to addedValues variables is determined by you. Converting an existing Manila website is a radical operation and should be done with a secured backup in place.

As with all import extensions, it will not be presented to Managing editors in websites until the server adminisatrion has run addedValuesPi.install and enabled the import extension from the addedValues controlpanel addin page in the admin website.
