Trigger Action Configuration
Triggers are conditions that are tested after certain predefined operations in a website, and when true runs a a special action script. Action scripts can performa a very large range of tasks, limited only by the scripting ability of their implementors. addedValues ships with several useful example triggers, that must be enabled from this page before they are visible to website Managing editors.
- beAStory - when aplied to a newly created message, marks it as a story
- beNotAStory - marks a story message as not a story.
- beNotAPicture - marks a picture message as not a picture.
- changeMessageOwner - changes the owner of a message.
- setPathAndShortcut - when applied to a newly created or edited message, look for a message variables which are typically computed variables called setSubjectTo, setShortCutTo and setPathTo. If the variable is defined and a value exists, they are used to set the subject, shortcut and site structure path of the story respectively

To modify a trigger, choose its name from the "Modify Trigger" dropdown menu; and click the ""Modify Trigger' button.
