The Groupnames Global

One special global variable is called groupNames. AddedValues recognises any pre-defined values of groupNames as candidate values for the group property of all other variables.

You define and edit groupName just as you woudl any other variable, as illustrated by the images, click on one for a full size view.

Once defined, the values become part of the groups menu in the variables, forms, reports and queries pages.

Notice how the internal name of the variables department and email change and the variables are grouped toegther under the messages#staff item in the second image.
