addedValueMacros.getGlobal

Syntax

{addedValueMacros.getGlobal(gName, sitename="", groupname="", valueIndex=nil, coercion=nil)}

• gName - the name of a global variable
• sitename (optional, default messages)- the name of a website.
• groupname (optional, default none) - the value of the property 'Group' for the value to be retrieved
• valueIndex (optional) - if supplied, a subscript into a set of multiple values
• coercion (optional) - if supplied, the name of a value coercion script to apply

Semantics

addedValueMacros.getGlobal allows values of global variables of one site to be made visible in another. By default, the global variables must be in the group named public for the macro to see them, but this can be overridden by specifyign the group name of the global variable.
