A variable with a column of row value that isn't none, is subsidiary to another variable called the Row Placeholder. You can think of a row placeholder as a collective name for a matrix of values whose rows are subscripted like all multiple valued variables but whose column are named. So in the example below, colour and productPicture potentially have 10 values subscripted 1 to 10 each. If they had been defined as unordered multiple valued variables, there need not be correspondence between the two sets of values, if they are row placeholders variables the pairs of values are maintained and subscripted as a row with a common subscript value. The matrix may be sparsely populated and the correspondence persists. Click on the right image to view a full size screenshot.
